Packing for Alex's boot camp graduation

I can't believe it's time already, but we have started packing for our trip to South Carolina and Georgia to Alex's boot camp graduation. The summer has flown by so fast. With this being our first long distance trip with Marcus, we started packing a little earlier than we normally would.

Saturday we went to the salon to get our nails done...what a relaxing afternoon followed by a great dinner (sorry no pictures from dinner).

The wedding is 3 weeks away and everyone is getting excited! Can't wait! Let's hope for nice weather in Gloucester!

We took advantage of the great weather on Sunday and went to Vavo and Vavo's to go swimming. Marcus really seems to like the water, however, he doesn't enjoy the Cold water. We brought over his new Excersaucer and he enjoyed playing around in that outside.

We had a great afternoon playing around in the pool and outside the pool. Hopefully we will get a few more nice days like that so Marcus can work on his swimming! :)

New Toy! Aug 16, 2008

Mommy and Daddy bought Marcus a new toy on Sat. He really seems to enjoy playing in it.

4 Months Old!

I can't believe it, but Marcus is 4 months old today! We went to the doctor this afternoon and she says, "He's looking great!" He is 19 lbs 13 ounces and 26 inches long! He is officially off the charts on the weight (or in the "97th plus" percentile, according to the doctor). She is not concerned about his weight gain at this point, she is assuring us that he will slow down. He had 4 vaccines today...that wasn't too much fun. He did very well with them, but is definitely not feeling well now. It is now 9:38 PM and he is still crying and fussing and not wanting to sleep :( I wish we could make him better.

Marcus and I went for a trip down to Watertown to the office for a few hours this afternoon. When we got back, Marcus was not willing to take his afternoon nap instead all he wanted was to play.




We went to the Gaspar's house to see Derek and Mary and to meet baby Mave (2 weeks older than Marcus). We weren't able to get any pictures of them because about 10 minutes after we got there Marcus started fussing...that's what happens when he doesn't listen to Mommy and take his afternoon nap. So after about 45 minutes of fussing and crying (being VERY overtired) we came home. It's now 8:30 PM and he's wide awake and not wanting to go to sleep! I think he's trying to break us :)

Visit at Opa's House

Today we went down to Opa and Nana's house. We had such a great, relaxing time! It felt so nice to go out for a walk also, the weather was great, before the perfect storm hit! We were able to take a few cute pictures of Marcus during our walk.

In other news, Marcus rolled over this evening for the first time. Well, he was laying on his belly and by accident rolled onto his back. He seemed rather confused by the whole thing, and only did it once, but we are headed in the right direction! We will keep practicing and hopefully in a few weeks he will be able to add rolling over to his resume!

High Chair

We put together Marcus' high chair today. He seems to really enjoy sitting at the dinner table with us in his chair.

After we were done hanging out in his high chair we were trying on some new clothes. He really seemed to enjoy his new camo trucker hat. You can't tell in the picture, but he's wearing a red shirt with black guitars all over it, and of course his Red Sox Bib. But he does look slightly like Larry the cable guy (for those that don't know, he's a comedian).

Birthdays

Marcus will be 4 months old next Friday. I can't believe how time is FLYING by! Chris and I were just talking about the night Marcus was born. Thinking back on that night, it was unbelievable. I can't believe how quickly the day went by, yet it felt like it was going so slowly. I don't think I'll ever forget that night.
We have celebrated each of Marcus' month birthdays. We have had a small birthday cake and used the same candle each month. Here are the pictures from his 1 month, 2 month and 3 month birthdays!

Next week we will again get a birthday cake and celebrate Marcus turning 4 months old. I truly can't believe how quickly time is going by. He's growing so fast. He can almost sit up on his own and he's so focused! He loves giggling at the mirror while trying to figure out who the cute baby is giggling back at him :)

Starting Solids!

Marcus is on the road to eating solids!! It is a long road and we are just at the beginning. Last night (Tuesday 8/5/08) we started adding rice cereal to a bottle before bed! We will continue this for a few weeks and then we can start giving him other foods as well! He's growing so fast!!!
